Install GeoD Skill

Copy this instruction to your current Agent. The Skill guides connection methods, sources and clipping details.

Install GeoD Skill from https://geod.laogao.xyz/skills/geod-agent/SKILL.md and configure GeoD MCP for this Agent. Verify the connection with one read-only planning call.

Browser mode needs no installation; local MCP requires Windows x64 and Node.js 22+. The older geod-agent installer configures the remote service.

Choose an MCP connection

MCP 0.1.6 · HTTPS or local

Agents on your computer should use local MCP; cloud Agents can use HTTPS MCP. Choose browser WebMCP only when you want web-based processing.

Signed-out downloads support levels 0–5; level 6 and above requires a GeoD account. For local MCP, the user runs geod auth login; HTTPS MCP initiates OAuth for higher-level downloads, and browser mode uses the website account.

Local MCP

Windows x64, Node.js 22+. Tasks and outputs stay in the user's %LOCALAPPDATA%\\GeoD\\Workspace. The installer configures both MCP and GeoD Skill.

Local MCP supports geod_sources . List sources and register your authorized sources, then provide imagery.sourceId in planning and download tasks. Source settings stay on the current user's computer.

Only add --workspace when changing the workspace, using an absolute local path. For WorkBuddy, replace codex with workbuddy.

HTTPS MCP

Clients such as Marvis can add the remote endpoint and GeoD Skill manually. Levels 0–5 work anonymously; OAuth-capable clients guide users through browser authorization for level 6 and above. Downloads and stitching run on GeoD servers.

In WorkBuddy's skill page, import the Skill ZIP. Remote MCP offers only NASA GIBS, with no custom source registration. Tasks are isolated by account, with at most 3 download tasks per account per day. Compatibility with the actual Doubao Work client still needs testing.

Optional · Local browser processing

WebMCP page

If you choose web processing, open the browser imagery page. It requests tiles directly, stitches locally, clips by GeoJSON polygons and saves a PNG package. Tool calls work only if the Agent actually obtains the page's injected WebMCP tools; opening the page alone does not establish a connection.

Open browser downloads

Choose the built-in NASA source or register an authorized custom source in the browser. Sources require HTTPS cross-origin access (CORS). Keep the page open for WebMCP. Browser mode exports PNG, georeferencing files and optional clipping boundaries; use local MCP for other formats and processing.
